You'll only get a perplexed look if you try to include Tittle, Baugh, or even Unitas in the conversation. So the GOAT has to be someone who's currently playing or recently retired. Meaningless and annoying, IMO.

I have a different problem. There is a time honored meaning for the term goat in sports, and it is someone who is responsible to a catastrophic turn of events for their teams, particularly in a key game.
Honestly, the current vernacular really grinds my gears.
