Default SOT: Antiques Roadshow Baseball Cards

Watched an episode of Antiques Roadshow last night (original airdate in 2018). A lady brought in 3 cards from her husband's collection that had been kept in a bag in their attic. The appraiser said he pulled out three cards to put on the show: '52 Mantle and Robinson, and a '54 Wilson Wieners Williams. I've never heard of the appraiser (which may not be saying much), but he referred to the Mantle as "his rookie card." Nuff said....

But, IMHO, when they first showed the cards, I thought "reprint." True it was hard to tell from a tv camera shot, but I thought I also noticed a slight bat-wing on the upper left corner of the Mantle card. I assume (I know, I know), that the appraiser could tell a reprint from the original, but calling the Mantle "his rookie card" made me question his knowledge. I'm sorry they didn't show more of the "bagged" collection.

Anyway, thought the members here would like to see for themselves.

Here's the link. The lady with the cards shows up at about 28 minutes into the segment.
