Under-Appreciated Cards / Issues
What would be your vote(s) for vintage cards that appear to remain comparatively undervalued in today's card market? I will start with a couple of cards from the T201 set: Mathewson & Speaker.
The T201 set probably stays relatively low in value for two good reasons - 1) multiple players on the same card have never been popular with collectors, and 2) the artwork isn't as finely detailed as it could have been, causing many of the player images to be less than desirable. Heck, some of those images only vaguely resemble the players they represent (Ty Cobb comes to mind).
However, in the case of Mathewson & Speaker, both of their pictures are evidently from the same photos that were used on the T206s, and these have head-to-toe images of their likenesses set against full-color backgrounds of the ballparks of that era. So when you fully extend the the card panels on these two, you get gorgeous, oversized cards of top tier Hall of Famers in classic poses that we all recognize. I just love those two and think they are very undervalued.
