I moved out to the west coast about two years ago and worked in Stamford, CT before that. I would say that hotel rooms in Manhatten are completely outrageous, and to stay anywhere decent your looking to spend at least 300/night. Especially on a Friday and Saturday night. If you definately making this trip, look into staying outside the city.
