I totally agree with you Leon, and Luke. I went into the T206 set with only a few rules. Purchase extremely low population cards at whatever grade came along. Usually they were 1's and 2's which were fine with me, because most others were waiting for better grades which rarely came along. I tried to stay away from major paper loss and heavy writing, but some cards had exceptions. I loved the days of being able to buy Tolstoi's, Cycles, EPDG's, and American Beauty's at $40 each. When counting all my T206's, rare backs, no prints, multiple Cobbs and a bunch of other HOF'ers, my average paid per card is $83. I'd love to add some low grade off backs that I need, for $83 nowadays, even though I'd feel like I was over paying.

I often wonder if there was something else I could have done to advance my collection, without spending more money than I have spent. If I could go back and change anything, I would have focused strickly on T206's, and left all my other hobbies behind.
