As Wilde said, "The only thing worse than being talked about, is not being talked about!" and all the chastisements and expressions of distaste directed at this guy, will only have the effect of spurring him on to more obnoxious and oh so immature, behavior. He craves the attention, no matter how negative and the only thing to do is stay our fingers from responding and let him "talk" to himself. No attention = his disappearance.
Leon - Is referring to the members of this board as "MF'ers" acceptable, also?
