LOL! A very small number of students who couldn't hack physics--and who probably received poor grades--thought I was the worst prof ever. Good on them for speaking their minds. My colleagues and fellow physicists, of course, didn't quite feel that way, as evidenced by my tenure, and my numerous research and pedagogical publications. You can't go into a research library anywhere in the world without finding my work. In fact, it's quite easy to find my work discussed in just about any library--it's been mentioned in many recent science popularizations, and popular magazines--
New Scientist, Sky and Telescope, Astronomy, to name a few.
And you can find students I've taught and inspired (their words, not mine) all over the country.
Not too shabby for a professional life. I'm fairly satisfied--and as many of my students discovered, I'm not easy to please.
