Default Your story reminds me of this one......

In the Summer of 1985, I received a call from Bob (owner of a BB card store in south NJ). He was very excited and wanted me to check out some tin plates
that a customer of his found in the rafters of his attic.

There was 7 tin plates with 32 front images on them of the 1954 Bowman set. Each of the tin plates was different, altogether comprising all 224 images of
the complete set. Including the Ted Williams (#66) image.

Apparently, the previous owner of this house was a Bowman printer who used the actual printing plates to patch up leaks in his roof.

I eventually negotiated a deal with Barry Halper who purchased these tin printing plates.
