It took me forever to find a 1979 Kellogg's Rick Reuschel with the registered trademark in Tony The Tiger's scarf (or collar, whatever it is), and even though it was still sealed in the original package from inside the cereal box the plastic surface had cracks. To me, 1970 to 1979 Kellogg's cards are the most frustrating thing to collect because they are prone to cracking over time, I have given up trying to replace them. You have the most difficult one, the one with the registered trademark in the scarf. The next time that you see a sealed 1979 Kellogg's Rod Carew it is guaranteed to be one without the registered trademark next to the Twins team emblem, and more than likely the one that you need with the registered trademark below Tony's scarf. The only 1979 Kellogg's that have the registered trademark next to the team are from the plentiful third printing factory sets. It gets confusing with some teams because they didn't have a registered trademark next to the team emblem on any of the printings, Phillies, Red Sox, Brewers, Astros, A's, Blue Jays, and a couple of Dodgers, Monday and Rau, didn't have a registered trademark at all near Tony The Tiger. The Carew that you need will look like the Zahn back, the registered trademark below Tony's scarf and no registered trademark next to the Twins emblem.
