- I never understood why my favorite player at the time, Rusty Staub wasn't in the 1972 or 1973 Topps sets. I would have loved to see him and Willie Mays in the '72 Topps Traded sub-series as well.
- 1956 and 1957 Topps Stan Musial;
- It seemed like there was plenty of time to issue a "In Memorium" card for Roberto in the 73 high number series (like they did with Hubbs in 64).
- Considering that he was the #2 pick in the 66 draft and did play late in '67, I always wondered how Topps could not make a Rookie Stars card with Reggie Jackson on it in '68 (especially considering the scrubs they did include over him).
