Default PSA/DNA Quality Control Questioned

I received this card last week from an eBay auction. I'm totally OK with the signature, but the flip gives another opportunity to pile on PSA/DNA. Does anybody check their work before it leaves the building? I'll probably take a hacksaw to the slab. So, the mistake is not a problem to me, but could be to someone else.

OK, that's a enough from me about the folks at PSA. I was glad to get this card because I was down to two for the complete set. The other is Rube Walhberg who passed away just a few months after the cards were issued. The Walhberg, when available goes for more than I can justify. So, I can't call this set "complete", but I can call it "done".

I don't think this set is the most beautiful in anyone's collection, but I really enjoy the autographed cards. It was a great concept back in 1978. The issuers selected 200 old ball players that were known to sign through the mail. The DiMaggio brothers, Musial, even Koufax were in in it. They sold the cards and the mailing addresses together. Like a knucklehead, I only mailed out about half of them. My reasoning? I didn't want to spend the fifteen cents postage or whatever it was at that time. It cost me a little more to complete the way I did. The good thing was I always send an extra or two cards to be signed and that gave me a good start on my '58 Topps autographed set. Down to eight cards on that project.

Maybe I like the set because it represents a great time to be a collector and a baseball fan, but I could say that about everyday.
