I may be wrong, but I think the "stamp" is what is referred to as a "sticker" as it relates to the 1921-1930 Major League Ball Die-Cuts (see Pages 248-249 of the 2012 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards). A board game produced during these years contained generic, die-cut player cards, and new stickers could be purchased each year to apply to bottoms of the the generic cards so that players of this board game could keep their rosters updated.
