The Beast finished his career with the Philadelphia Phillies (Blue Jays) in 1945. Manager Ben Chapman talked him into pitching some innings for the team as they had pitching woes. Jimmie went on to pitch in 9 games starting two and winning one. Posted a 1.59 ERA, not too shabby. Does anyone have a picture of hime pitching? thanks
