ROGER MARIS Signed 61st Home Run Photo - SOLD
Roger Maris - 8x10 signed glossy photo of Roger Maris hitting his 61st Home Run.
The lady I bought it from was a dental assistant in 1982 and Roger Maris was a patient of her dentist. She asked him for an autograph and on his next visit he brought her this photo, inscribed "To Yvonne, Best Always, Roger Maris". There is a copy of the wire service caption as part of the picture but there is no wire service stamping on the back of the picture. There is a very small crease in the lower right border and a larger but very light crease about one inch higher than the small one. The picture has a couple of light dinks in the body of the picture, and a couple of very, very small creases in upper border. Put it in a frame and these minor defects would not be visible. $650
