That Leyendecker poster is the sh*t. He was one hell of a draughtsman, and in my opinion, is still one of the most underrated artists of his era. Just think, after Rockwell, he had the post Saturday Evening Post covers featuring his artwork. And it's easy to see why. I feel like his style just really lent itself very well to those covers, especially design-wise. But even as a painter, the way that he could describe form with a brushstroke was just pure genius.
Have you ever seen his stuff in person? What I've been able to find has always knocked my socks off...
