Very wild swings happen more frequently in thinly traded series. Unfortunately when I quit collecting I will definitely take a bath on some things I paid a ton for. I paid up due to their rarity but the other side of the equation (the demand side) I will argue, is far more important in determining value. Fortunately I have also acquired a few very high demand items too. They should almost make up for my losses when the time comes
