Depends on the manager. Connie Mack and John McGraw are superstar managers, and should fare better than letter ones.
In football, Lombardi and Rockne are icons, more popular than 95 percent of the HOF players. Lombardi is more popular and pricey than his star players Bart Starr and Paul Hornung.
