People collect the various Topps sets (or team sets from the set itself) autographed and obviously if anyone tries to get the 1954 set they need this card--thus the MUCH higher price tag. Similar players with high price tags are the likes of Jim Umbricht, Ken Hubbs, Walt Bond, etc. You would be surprised what some will pay for a seemingly obscure auto on a Topps card.
