When I went to college I was broke and needed money fast so I decided to sell my 61Mantle and 58 Aaron got a practically nothing for the cards. After that I realized you need to wait a long time before you can get the actual value of the cards. Years later I got a W-519 Babe Ruth strip card from my father that was damaged but it was amazing to hold such a historic and old card, it was Babe Ruth's first Yankee card. In SCP's auction I see they have a beautiful one.
Welcome to the board. Just curious. Do you have anything consigned to the SCP auction (W519's?) or are you affiliated with them in any way? It always makes us scratch our collective heads a little when someone comes out of the blue and touts an auction. You said you collected when you were younger. Do you still collect now? Once again, welcome to the board.

Until these questions are answered I have moved this to the correct category.
