No doubt some high grade pre-war cards are good. And no doubt many aren't. Myself and several hobby friends always talk about where all of the big bordered cards have gone
? That is also one reason I wanted a group of the Beantown cards. It's almost positive they haven't been messed with, and if so, not for nefarious reasons. It's really amazing how almost every one of the goup of E90-1's is just about exactly the same size with nice big borders....This one is not from the Beantown find but is the kind of card I love..with those really meaty borders...and still raw.
