It's actually a premium item offered to the general public, using the same molds as the Babe Ruth scorers offered by Quaker Oats in the mid 1930s. Check out the "Cereal Premiums" thread on the memorabilia board for more information. I'm sure I've seen ads for it in old Sunday comic sections, but cannot recall if a personality was behind the offer. Examples in excellent condition can sell for $150-$200. The one pictured has a broken fob tag at the top, so the value is considerably less. This scorer is one of the most attractive Baseball Centennial items offered in 1939~
