I am currently auctioning this 1948 book on eBay, link above. I posted this in the Memorabilia section but there may be some card collectors who don't go there.

I don't recall seeing this book before. I think the cover is dynamite, and it's got a ton of photos. Dan Daniel was a popular sports writer who is in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was friends with Ruth so it's bound to be slanted to show him in the best light...nevertheless as a top N.Y.C. sports writer he Daniel may have had access to a lot of photos that weren't readily available to other writers of Ruth books.
