Card 59 shows Ellsworth in a Cub uniform ( airbrushed cap) where he had not been in 3 years. Card 6 shows Grant Jackson pitching with a batting glove. Card 407 shows Watson looking for a fly ball with a catchers mitt. Dal Maxvill in 503 is fielding in a batting helmet. And, three of the 8 playoff cards show games other than described.

Very interesting info, and info I never knew of before. Perhaps Topps was tight on money that year? Or they were running late on deadlines? Whatever it may be, it was definitely a lazily done or hurried set. I wonder how many other years that they had similar issues? I've noticed duplicated photos before from year to year, but haven't noticed stuff like you mention. I'll be watching for it now though.
