Default Complete Set- 1941 Goudey Sky Birds

I bought a complete set of 1941 Goudey Sky Birds in the 2010 REA for $470, Lot #1632.

I had the entire set graded by SGC, and you can view the grades on the SGC Registry:

http://www.sgccardregistry.com/set.a...1&userset=5301

Due to recent financial needs, etc., I'm reluctantly putting the set up for sale. I spent $470 on the set, and another $150 to have them graded. Send me a PM if you are interested.

The REA description of this set:

Quote:
Extremely crisp and clean complete set of this extraordinarily attractive early 1940s gum-card set issued by Goudey, which features different fighter planes used by countries involved in the war efforts. The 24-card set is one of the last of all Goudey sets, and one of the most striking, exciting, and colorful bubble-gum card sets of the era. Twenty cards range from Ex to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex-Mt), four cards are slightly lesser. This is a magnificent high-grade complete set of this stunning and classic 1940s Goudey issue. For some unexplained reason, these have long been somewhat modest in value (we think there may have been a big find of these many decades ago, which would account for why they are often seen in such high grade), but interest is deservedly growing for this set due to its extraordinary merits and the great collecting value it represents. Total 24 cards. Reserve $100. Estimate $300+.
