Bettman in my eye. Selig at least does what he wants, self-serving or misguided though he may be, and may come across like your dottering elderly uncle. Bettman comes across as a spineless weasel -- someone who kow-tows (sp?) to whichever owner or marketing poll he's heard from last. Selig has left him imprint on the game, for better or worse, while I can't think of much of anything that I can ascribe to Bettman. Baseball flourished after its lockout, perhaps due to the increased hitting, power, HRs, etc. due to the steroid era (and I'll venture that perhaps Selig deliberately remained in ignorance in order to save the sport), while hockey still hasn't recovered to its pre-lockout popularity among the non-diehard audience (no national TV deal since, plus one can argue that hockey had such a great opportunity for growth at the time of its lockout). If it's the wimpiest commissioner you're looking for, Bettman's your man.

My two cents,
