This is a 14x17" one-piece composite press photo. I'd thought that it would be homemade with individual images glued to card stock before purchase.
It is original in poor, brittle condition. It had been stored rolled up tightly for a very long time. There are remnants of old, barely att'd tape on the back. I replaced the tape with acid-free artists type. Each photo is numbered and the back is blank.
There's 1. Nose bleed shot from the upper deck (player scoring), 2. cameo of Lefty Gomez, 3. Lou touching as Babe rolls back to the dugout, 4. Marty McManus, Bosox skipper with Joe McCarthy 1933, 5. Babe with Jack Dempsey with a big stick, 6. Yankees raising the 1932 banner... On the bottom corner, there is a publisher label, which I'd never seen. "Dispatch Photo News Serv Inc. NY". Anyone seen this image in print?.. Significance of Lefty ie; vs Red Sox? Ideas appreciated! Thanks, Steve
