20" tall x 16" wide, framed

I picked this up today at the Alameda Point Show at a dealer way in the back area, under a table, stacked behind some other pictures....paid a whopping $15.00....It was signed by the artist Fletcher Martin...I recognized the name and recalled he was a renown sports artist...I could see it was good art, but didn't think that much of it. I left it with the seller and came back later for it. A pretty well known dealer saw it in my hand and offered me $200.00 before I even left the booth....That got my attention and I thought about it a few seconds...but passed....A friend that was with me was all excited and urged me to go find the guy and take the $200.00....but it was too sudden and I kept it....but I did wonder if i did the right thing as I walked around.

I told one dealer what happened and he was rolling his eyes saying I should have taken the money and run!!....later I showed it to another dealer friend and told him about the offer...He looked it over and told me a story about a chair he bought for $600.00....and before he could research it a dealer offered him $3,000.00...Because the guy that made the offer was a dealer he sensed something was up and turned it down....and later found out it was a $9,000.00 chair!!!

After I got home I found my print on an art dealers website for $1,500.00 and it said it was "A fine impression of this rarely seen print"....same one I have...link below

Then I found a book on Fletcher Martin on eBay for $9.99

The glass is missing and it does have a small gouge on the lower players thigh that will have to be fixed...but it's all good!
