I have an Eddie Collins bat which might be for sale if you are interested in it. I bought it probably 10 years ago at a Tri-Star show in Kansas City. Specifics - no markings on the knob, appears to be 33 inches in length, the trademark reads "Louisville Slugger, 40 EC, Hillerich & Bradsby CO, Made in U.S.A., Louisville, KY., Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." and the endorsement reads "Trade Mark, E. Collins, Reg U.S. Pat Off". As far as condition, I've checked out your web site and I don't have near the experience you do, but I'll do the best I can. All of the markings are easily read and the bat appears overall to be in good to excellent condition. But, there are notches on the barrel end of the bat, going against the grain, around the endorsement, probably 10 to 15 half inch notches, none of which appear to go into the bat more than the surface. There also are a few minor cracks, one along the trademark and 3-4 that appear along the grain of the bat. None appear to be deep cracks or detract from the appearence of the bat. If interested, I can try and send pictures via e-mail. And, as you know bats, if you have specific, pointed questions, I will certainly answer those and that might give you a better idea about the bat. I know what I paid for it 10 years ago and I done a little research over the Internet so I have a general idea what I think it's worth. Anyway, e-mail me if interested and we'll see what happens. If not interested, no problem, please e-mail me that also so I will know. Thanks, Kent (rkr61topps@hotmail.com)
