I’ve picked up a few “A” cards in recent years and typically paid prices that are representative of cards ranging from poor to very good, depending on the eye appeal. Since I primarily collect ungraded cards, I’ve simply accepted the fact that my collection has more trimmed cards in it than I can identify. The results from Andy Madec’s auction didn’t surprise me at all. It’s my belief that a vast number of trimmed or alterned cards have made it into holders, and that trimmed or altered cards will gain more acceptance with time ...
