Default 1931 Metropolitan St. Louis Cardinals complete ex-mt set $800 Moved to Ebay

I've decided to part with my 1931 Metropolitan Cardinals team set. I bought this intact at a Tri-Star show in Kansas City 10 years ago. This is a ex-nr mt set. No creases, no pinholes, very clean set. It came in an unmarked envelope which I will include, but I can't verify it (the envelope) to be original. I have searched the internet to find records of sales of this set, and found none. Mike Wheat auctioned one off a few years ago, but I could not find a record of the price. They do not show up often. The set has 30 6x9 1/2" sepia photos of the World Champion 1931 St. Louis Cardinals. The only player who appears in the set that did not play in 1931 is Dizzy Dean, who played in one game in 1930. This is considered by many to be Dizzy Dean's rookie "card". 7 of the 30 cards are HOFers (Bottomley, Dean, Frisch, Grimes, Hafey, Haines, and Branch Rickey). In addition to the HOFers the set includes: Sparky Adams, Ray Blades, Sam Breadon, Rip Collins, Paul Derringer, Jake Flowers, Charlie Gelbert, Mike Gonzalez, Bill Hallahan, Andrew High, Syl Johnson, Tony Kaufmann, Jim Lindsey, Gus Mancuso, Pepper Martin, Ernie Orsatti, Flint Rhem, Wally Roettger, Allyn Stout, Gabby Street, Clyde Wares, George Watkins, Jimmy Wilson. I am "cardinalcollector" on Ebay if you want to check feedback. My 2 year old SCD Catalog says $1800 in this condition. I will pay for shipping and insurance. I have dropped the asking price to $800 based on recent auction info. Set moved to Ebay Friday 4-23-2010.
