They aren't the ones you mentioned. I have collected Victorian baseball player cards for some time and these aren't any I have seen. That doesn't surprise me though as I am sure there are hundreds I haven't seen yet. First of all, if I were buying the book, I would make sure the baseball ones were on cardboard. One picture looks like the bottom is sticking up a little and it looks to be thin, but too hard to tell for sure.
I think they are generic baseball die cuts from the 1880's to 1890's, and if on cardboard, are worth a little bit....maybe $25 each....or somewhere in that range. Some may think higher but I think I am close, given their generic and non-equipment, nature. These are just semi-educated guesses
