Durocher would be my choice...
Hell, he was teammates with Babe & Lou during the roaring twenties.
In 1951 he led the Giants from 13.5 back on August 11th, to win the pennant, and when Bobby Thomsom hit "the shot heard round the world" Leo was in the third base coaching box!
Although he would lose the series in '51, the 1954 season finished on a much better note. The G-Men went up against the heavily favored Cleveland Indians, who had posted an AL record of 111-43 in the regular season. Durocher's Jints disposed of the Tribe in four straight as Mays' incredible catch in game one set the tone for the series,
He was married to a Hollywood Starlet and had his A-List celebs that he partied with. He also did multiple guest shots on TV shows during the '50's & 60's.
He could spin stories just on those topics alone and I wouldn't budge all night long. I wouldn't even speak. Just take it all in...
