Color is unbelievably expensive, so I have always opted to be like the Standard Catalog and every other guide and not use it. Also, with the web being what it is, anyone who wants color imagery can look at it on my site, which I intend to expand dramatically this year in terms of total images available.
The changes to the book: New sets added. Newly discovered cards from existing sets added. Pricing updated.
I still do not create a price matrix for every card from every set in every condition. It is not intellectually honest to make up a near mint price for a card that has never been found in that condition or to price cards that have not transacted in years. I do not think I will ever go beyond that basic premise. On the flip side of the coin, I do not see the need to pad a book with pages of pricing on common cards that can be had every day of the week on Ebay for a few cents or a few bucks each. All that does is make it harder to hold the guide whilst sitting on the toilet, a key issue for many of my readers
