As far as placement of punctutation within quotations, at the end of a sentence one would put the quotes after the period. I honestly don't know how that applies in the middle of a sentence. It seems like it should be the same but I would have to look it up.
I see that Anthony has already looked it up, saving me the trouble. Thanks Anthony...because it sure seemed like a lot of work.
