After much searching, I finally managed to get my hands on his 1962 autobiography , "My War With Baseball", which he wrote with the help of author Bill Surface. Check out my review of this gem. If you can get your hands on it, I suggest that you do so. Hornsby gives perspective on early 20th century baseball, all the way through the 1960's as he was involved in baseball until his death. He made some keen observations in the book, and held back no punches in doing so.
