How's working on T206 alphabetically going? I thought about doing that, but then realized I'd quickly get into the B's and C's which are loaded with HOF'ers and my progress would slow to a crawl. On the upside, if I had the card budget to do it, I'd be knocking off a ton of nice cards in the set by going alphabetically. With my actually modest budget though the best I could do alphabetically would be to focus on the commons with perhaps an occassional HOF'er, SL'er, or whatever.
Instead, I've taken the approach to go after some subsets (Cubs/Tigers/Giants, 150 only series, horizontals, etc.) and some of the more challenging commons and SL'ers as were described in another thread (Burch batting, Ganley, Shag, Foster, etc.). This still leaves some tough HOF'ers to acquire but leaves me plenty of other cards that I can get at more affordable prices and still feel a sense of accomplishment.
Oh then there is the backs subset of course too which is almost more fun to me than the fronts!
Anyways, good luck getting into the B's in 2010!
