Usually I don't suffer from envy when someone posts a great card or memorabilia item, but that Bill Skowron sketch makes me
crazy jealous. Moose was my baseball hero back in those wonderful boyhood days in the ancient fifties. I picked up this motheaten cap from one of the auctions a few years ago, ostensibly game worn in 1957 by him, possibly seen upon his head by Mini-Me as he manned first base. Who knows? This photograph of Moose as a Purdue fullback and stamped Nov 3, 1949 was acquired from the latest Henry Yee eBay sale and was delivered about 10 minutes ago.
