All the black lights give off the same light, it's just they come in different styles. The above linked guide pictures three popular styles, all which I own. The first two flashlight styles are the best for collectors. My personal favorite it is the little LED flashlight style, but as long as it's a UV black light it will give off the light you need. The reason I don't recommend the light bulb to card collectors is a plugged in lamp isn't as convenient or portable and doesn't direct the light like a flashlight. The bulb would work, it wouldn't be a waste of money, but it's really meant for stuff like fluorescent posters and Halloween decorations.
