My educated guess is that at one time someone attempted to turn a generic baseball nodder into a "Cubs" version. Vintage bobbin' heads (1960s and early '70s) weren't issued with pinbacks attached to the front, and the face of that one is different from the legitimate nodders (again, from the 1960s-70s) that were team versions.
