The picture on this 1909 Obak -- his only Obak anbd likely his only baseball card -- seems to confirm that John House, nicknamed "Indian John" was, indeed, Native American. Too bad his surname was misspelled on his only card. House played in the minors from 1904-1914, mostly in Iowa (Marshalltown, Ottumwa, Burlington), but also in Minneapolis, Fresno, Santa Cruz and in Ontario w/ Fort William/Port Arthur.
This card has the top layers of paper missing at upper-left, some schmutz at upper-right on front and a heavy diagonal crease. The back is miscut. But, hey, it's got nice bright color for being 100 years old.
