I have for sale a very rare pair of 1960s New York Giants game worn football pants.
The pants are marked with the name Young and numbers 69 and 74. The 74 is crossed off.
Willie Young was number 69 and was the starting Left Tackle for the New York Giants for 9 years spanning 1966 to 1975.
The pants have tagging that reads Thorp Sporting Goods Inc New York NY, and Sand Knit Size 38 Long
Thorp Sporting goods made athletic uniforms for the NY Giants and Jets until 1969
Based upon the tagging, my assumption is that these pants were used by a #74 in 1965, and then Willie Young started using them in 1966
The pants show a ton of use with a team repair on the right knee, scuffing, etc
These pants are made of durene and a heavier material on back
