Up for sale is a fantastic late 1860's to early 1870's baseball tintype. The image on this tintype is fantastic. It shows two players who I think may have been on opposing teams wearing ornate uniforms. One of them is leaning on a bat while the other holds an early baseball in his hand. The image is bold, crisp, and flawless. What makes this piece exceptional is that the original paper framing of the tintype is fully intact, with no rips, tears, or stains. I can provide a back scan if someone wishes to see one, but it is flawless as well. I have more close up scans of the image if you would like to see them. $450.
