Well... I did get only one "death wish" email this week, so maybe I'm doing OK.

My Dad collected these as a 16 year old kid in NYC in 1932. At the time they were passed to me, I was much more into collecting 1950's and 1960's Topps. I asked around a little bit and a few experts told me I had a complete set at 18 cards.

Fast forward many years. I never looked at them. They were finally cataloged by SCD somewhere in the early 2000's. Late 2005 I noticed them in the book and realized they listed 22 cards which meant I was missing 4. Been looking ever since.

Because they were as "regional" as you can get, (Giants were probably the number 3 team in NYC.), and because they were a write-in promotion and never really "distributed" anywhere, there aren't very many around.
