MacBoubeFor your support. Good luck with your Hutson, too. I think the AA Hutson has to be one of the greatest looking cards of all time.
A set of AA's in grade 7 is obtainable without killing your pocketbook for most collectors who eek out a decent living. Even if you amass it over a year or two, it is very do able and fun. In the current market, you will pay approx. $1,000.00 total for the big three of the set (Horseman, Thorpe, and Hutson) which is your biggest nut. These happen to be listed as three of the top 250 sportscards of all time, assuring you of upside potential for years to come. They are also a 54 year old vintage set, and the first football set for Topps.
Compared to 50's Baseball - they are a real bargain - and better looking, and far more interesting than so many baseball sets.
Most (along with the 1935 Nat'l Chicle - which is only 36 cards) consider it the premier football set of all time.
The ratings and write up for it are tremendous in Joe Orlando's new book.
ps - I continue selling lots of my AA's - and I have a dozen 7.5's on the bay right now.
Cheers, Jim
Check this beauty out, and yes, it is a very valueable one in that it has a pop report of 3 with none higher....
