scott brockelmanyou should be able to file an abstact for very little on your own, in the county in New York and/or a writ of execution on the judgement in the same jurisdiction, the writ would enable you to have the local constable or such enforce the judgement and either get payment from the person or you are able to take property or assets to satisfy the judgement. The writ will cost a bit more, but this is something you are able to do without an attorney, once you have the judgement all the rest is just small fees and paperwork in the jurisdiction of the person that the judgement is against.
