Default Old 1800's? Boxing Litho Richard Curtis SOLD

Posted By: Rick McQuillan

Hello,
I am selling an old box poster/litho. The size is about 11 1/2 x 16 1/2. I will call this a litho, but I am not sure what it is. The caption reads-

Richard Curtis
Aged 21 Years of Age, about 5 feet 6 inches in height and weighs 9 stone.
He beat Watson un 1820 and Brown & Lenney in 1821, he is said to be the neatest Boxer of his weight in England.

London, Pubd, by S.W. Fores No 41 Picadilly

I'm not sure of the age or origin of this item. It has a large crease in the lower left corner and a horizontal crease just below his knees, some pinholes, and some staining. The front is starting to peel away from the backing and someone wrote the dimensions of the litho in pencil on the back.

$75 shipped and insured.

Thank you!
Rick
