Default Autographed Photo of Conrado "Connie" Marrero

Posted By: Kit

Conrado "Connie" Marrero is the 4th oldest living major leaguer and last surviving major leaguer in Cuba. He pitched with the Washington Senators from 1950-1954 and was Cuba's top amateur pitcher from 1938-1945. He also played for the legendary Havana Sugar Kings.

Marrero has signed two types of 8 X 10 photos. One is on a print of his 1952 Topps card and the other on a reproduction of a Spanish language endorsement for Gillette razor blades that appeared in a Cuban Winter League program in the early 1950s.

Marrero's is a tough signature as he has lived in Cuba since 1955. He lost his sight 18 months ago and has difficulty signing.

All proceeds of this sale go to Marrero, who does not receive a major league pension. Each photo is $25, including postage and handling. Both photos are $40.

E-mail for payment instructions.
