Default wanted OBAKS and Zeenuts

Posted By: joe maples

Thanks for the link, but I have to tell you I have on my list many more players who played for Detroit that are in the OBAK series. Here is what I did to find out. I have a book written by Fred Smith of the Detroit organization and he lists the 1st 1089 ballplayers who played for Detroit. This came out a few years ago, but definitely has all players who played in the 1910's thru 1930's in the majors which would include OBAK years of 1910 thru 1911. I'm on the road right now so I can't look at the book now. In about 3 weeks I will update on this list. On my 1909 OBAK list alone I have the following Browning, Dillon, Fisher, Smith(Heinie), Stovall, Wiggs, Willett and J. Williams.

The 1910 list is Browning, Dillon, 2 variations, Fisher 3 variation, H. Smith 2 variations, Willett 2 variations and Williams 2 variations.

The 1911 list is Browning, Burns, Casey, Cutshaw, Davis, Dillon, Erickson, Frisk, Hall, Harris, Hetling, Higgins, James, jensen, Kane, Miller, Pernoll, Powell, Raymond, Ross, Schmidt, Shaw, Shea, Skeels, Spencer, Steen, Stewart, Stovall, Thomas, Vitt, Ward, Wiggs, Willett.

I did not find Perry, Sugedon, Zamloch in the Detroit book by Smith.

I hope my list contains players that did not play for Detroit, will make it easier.
I'm sure this list has errors, I just started investigating the Detroit connection.

Thats all I can do right now.

Joe
