Barry, I think the creation of more high paying jobs for its union members is the only reason the Players Association cares about the DH, additional roster spots, etc. That's not a good enough reason in my opinion to subvert the purity of the game with not only the DH but different rules for each league. And somehow for 100 years MLB managed to have 10 pitchers on a team with just 4 starters. The specialization of baseball has gotten out of control.
