Bilko G Dave F- While i do agree that a grading company selling their own graded cards is a huge conflict of interest, you also gotta know that most of these BGS cards you see for sale in the Beckett media store are consignment sales and a lot of the time where already graded in the past, before being put on consignment with Beckett. As for the Zeenut auctions that you posted, if what davecycleback posted in his thread stays true, these graders have no idea for whom they are grading for. For example, the graders would have had no idea that the Zeenuts they were grading, would later be for sale by consignment in Beckett's ebay store. I really do believe this to be true because if something otherwise got out to the public, it could destroy a company's reputation for a very long time, perhaps forever.
T206 collector- Sorry to hear that you are not a fan of the inner sleeve that BGS uses. I personally love the inner sleeve as it guarantee's that there will be no movement of the card inside the slab. I know i own several PSA cards, that the card has a tremendous amount of movement in, that i cringe every time i see that card move in the slab. As far as scanning BGS cards, perhaps its your scanner that does not like them? I know i see many BGS cards on ebay and other message boards that scan really well and the inner sleeve can not even be seen.
